PrintTo whom it may concern: Arnie Kolodner is a one-of-a-kind magician, who – as part of a special magical series – has appeared multiple times in Bryant Park. In fact, each year it is Arnie who we call to be our exclusive magician at the annual Halloween party at Le Carrousel in Bryant Park. Arnie Kolodner is magical and good wholesome fun for the entire family. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you have.

The Westport Country Playhouse – Peter Pan

Westport Country Playhouse

westport-country-playhouse-logoTo whom it may concern: Westport Country Playhouse had the pleasure of presenting a performance of Arnie Kolodner’s “The Peter Pan Magic Show” as part of our Children’s Theatre programming this summer. Incorporating songs and magic, the company told this beloved story to a sold-out house of 700 children, parents and camp counselors, and engaged every rapt audience member from the start. There was just the right amount of audience participation, both onstage and from the house. Mr. Kolodner is a charming, gregarious performer who keeps the audience in the palm of his hand throughout. He even shows the children how he does some of his magic, letting them feel like they are in on a wonderful secret. The show was a delightful addition to our children’s series, and we look forward to the company’s return in future summer seasons.

With best regards.

Yours cordially,
Janice Muirhead

The Guild Hall Theatre – Cinderella

The John Drew Theatre

GuildHall-logoTo whom it may concern: Arnie Kolodner kicked off our KIDFEST summer series this year with “The Cinderella Magic Show.” It was a huge success! I highly recommend this show for any presenter looking to entertain, engage and satisfy parents and children alike. The show includes humor for the parents, music, puppetry, an opportunity for all the children to participate (some as costumed characters) and dazzling magic tricks that are woven into the storyline. Both shows sold well and I received rave reviews from parents after each performance. If you would like further information, please feel free to contact me at 631-324-4051.

The Melting Pot Theatre Company – Cinderella

melting-pot-theatre-logoTo whom it may concern:

As the producing Artistic Director of the Melting Pot Theatre Company (2001 Drama Desk Award Winner), and as a parent, I rarely come across children’s theatre pieces that I feel I can enthusiastically recommend to others. That is not the case with Arnie Kolodner and his “Cinderella and the Magic Prince” show. The Melting Pot recently had the pleasure of presenting this show over the holidays, and we sold out every performance. In fact, we added six extra performances and those sold out as well!

Arnie and is partner are delightful entertainers. Their ability to hold a theatre full of children (and their parents!) never ceases to amaze me. Not only does Arnie perform magic with skill and ease, but they weave the story and the magic simply and seamlessly. Beautiful costumes, sets and music help to enhance the overall experience.

Perhaps the loveliest aspect of this company’s talent is the way they incorporate the children’s participation. In a controlled fashion, audience interaction is invited and welcomed. At all times their way with the children is gentle and respectful, never condescending. And the kids absolutely love them.

Any show they do would be the highlight of any Children’s Theatre series. In fact, I’ve already invited them back to do a new show this Spring. I recommend them to you wholeheartedly and without reservation.

Most Sincerely,
Larry Hischhorn

Tribeca Performing Arts Center – Peter Pan

tribeca-center-logoDear Mr. Kolodner:

I wanted to thank you for what both our staff and our Family, Folk & Fairy Tales audience agreed was a memorable theatrical experience. Your performance of “The Land of Peter Pan” was one of the highlights of our 2002-2003 season. The performances were charming and funny and the magic was skillfully executed. We certainly hope there will be other opportunities in the future to work with you.

Columbia Festival of the Arts

columbia-logoThis letter is written in recommendation of Arnie Kolodner Magic. I have known Arnie for many years and find him to be an extremely gifted and engaging performer. It was my great pleasure to present The Magic of Cinderella at the Columbia Festival of the Arts. Along with his talented and versatile assistants and co-performers, Arnie adapted the Cinderella story to include amazing feats of magic without compromising the charm and pure fun of this timeless fairytale. Accomplished actors/singers, the cast gave their enthusiastic audience all the suspense and joy of the story and served it beautifully with the mystery and wonder of their acts of magic. At the Columbia Festival of the Arts we are committed to presenting the very highest quality work for young audiences as well as for audiences of all ages. Arnie Kolodner Magic was the perfect choice for us. The audience response during and after the performance was so positive that it was clear that this performance ranks among the most effective we’ve presented. The children and their families came alive in an atmosphere of imagination and surprise – qualities essential, but often lacking in Children’s Theatre. Arnie’s versatility and adaptability make him an ideal choice for presenters looking for quality, unique and accessible performers for young audiences. I recommend Arnie Kolodner Magic to you enthusiastically and without reservation.
